(top) How do I download an issue I purchased?
Sign into your account using your email address and password, then click on My Downloads on the left hand side.
(top) Why can't I download free reviews or the feature articles?
You need to make sure that you are using an updated web browser. It is strongly recommended that you download Mozilla Firefox 3.0 today and install it. It will make your experience on our website perfect, as the site was made directly for it. Additionally, your personal information is protected and that keeps you safe while making online purchases. Finally, Mozilla Firefox is free, and it will automatically import your saved favorites, stored passwords, and other information so you can get up and go in minutes.
(top) How do I sign into my account?
To sign into your account, make sure that you've registered one first. If you have already, just use your email address and password to sign in. You can sign in on every page on the left hand side where it says "Welcome Guest!"
(top) What type of information is collected on your website?
There are two types of information collected on our website. The first is non-personal usage statistics and the second is personal contact information. The non-personal usage statistics include which pages you have accessed and what times they were accessed, no personal data is collected for statistics. This information is shared with advertisers to have an understanding of what type of traffic our website generates per month. However, for personal contact information we will never use it without your notification. We only use contact information for internal purposes. If you have questions about our privacy policy, please read it first and if it doesn't help you, contact Michael Davis, our circulations manager.
(top) My credit card keeps getting declined, and now its saying FRAUD. Why is this happening?
This means the system has blocked you from trying to purchase something using that single credit card, email address, or name. We take security very seriously, and we feel that after 5 failed attempts to purchase a product that we sell, your security should never be comprimised for the sale of that item. The system will automatically lock you out for 50 minutes. If it notices a tendency of failed attempts it will block the card perminately.
(top) My digital subscription expired, what do I do to renew it?
To renew your subscription, please sign into your account and click on "My Subscriptions." This will guide you to renew your digital subscription. The renewal fee is $15.00.
(top) I made an order, how do I ask for a refund?
For all digital content, we do not offer any refunds. If it is a binder collection, dvd/cd collection, or printed magazine please contact Michael Davis by email: davism@sawmillmag.com or call our office at 1-207-338-0300.
(top) I lost my password, how do I recover it?
For your security, we never store passwords in clear text. This means that we cannot recover it if you have forgot it. You can of course request for your password to be reset by clicking here. To reset your password, just give us your email address. We will send you an email asking for you to confirm the request. When you get the email (it should be instant, but if it isn't wait 3 minutes before trying again). When you click on the link provided in that email it will change your password, email you the new password, and automatically sign you into your account.
If you want to change your password after it has been automatically changed, click on My Profile and in the middle of the page you will be required to enter in your current password (it was emailed to you) and type in your new password (then confirm it).
If you get lost or have any troubles with this, please contact our webmaster by email: webmaster@sawmillmag.com.
(top) I purchased the wrong digital back issue, what do I do to get it exchanged?
If you have purchased the wrong digital back issue, you can contact our webmaster by email: webmaster@sawmillmag.com and ask for a change. Just be sure to include in the email your name, email address, what issue you purchased, and what you want it to be changed to. He will then go into your account through our system and check to ensure that the digital issue has not yet been downloaded and process the request. He does however have the reserved right to deny this exchange.
(top) Is there a limit on how many times I can download a digital issue I purchase?
Yes, you are allowed to download a digital back issue 15 times. This limit is within reason, we do not see a need to download the back issue any more than the limit.
(top) It looks like your site's design is messed up, why?
It may be messed up, but chances are your browser is either out of date or there is an addon added to your web browser that is obstructing the website's design. Please ensure that you have the lastest browser updates installed on your computer and the newest version of Adobe Reader. We strongly recommend that all users download and begin using Mozilla Firefox. It is a faster and more secure web browser than Internet Explorer. When you upgrade to Firefox, all your favorites and history will be imported automatically. In Firefox, they are called boomarks instead of favorites.
(top) What browsers are supported?
Mozilla Firefox 2 or greater
Internet Explorer 7 or greater
Opera 2 or greater
Chrome 1 or greater
(top) Why can't I open any downloaded PDFs?
You are required to Adobe Reader 7 or greater installed on your computer in order to download any digital pdfs. Regardless if they are back issues, tree species, digital articles, or free reviews.
